Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

leaving with less than 30 days notice

my lease ends in 14 days and my landlord is asking for 30 days notice for me to leave. They now want to charge me for another whole months worth of rent. Can they do that? If so, can i get away with only paying for 16 days?

Re: leaving with less than 30 days notice

Look at your lease to see what is required. If your lease is at an end, no notice is required usually. The lease may, though, automatically renew if you failed to give notice. Read your lease.
