What legal rights to recover a security deposit does a tenant have after violating nthe terms of a lease agreement by not giving the 30 days notice of there intentions to move?

Any unpaid rent (plus late fees and so forth) comes out of the security deposit unless the lease says otherwise. Many leases say the security deposit is completely forfeit. Then, after damages to the leased property are taken out of the deposit, the tenant gets the rest.
