Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I live in a 3 bedroom house with a married couple for roommates. The only person that signed the lease is the wife. I previously agreed (verbally) to pay half of the rent, but have since changed my mind and notified my roommates that I now only agree to pay for 1/3 of the rent (my proportional amount.) The husband has decided to threaten to evict me from the premises if I do not pay half of the rent, can he legally do this?

It will depend on what your lease states. If you signed agreeing to pay one half then you are responsible for one-half no matter how many others are there.
