Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I live in Clearwater Florida and my lease is up on 4/1/2010 and my landlord says he is letting the apt go into forcloser or short sale and when it happens the bank will give me 30 days notice to move. I found a place to move but must move in 2/1/2010 breaking my lease 6 weeks early and my landlord says he will take me to court for breaking my lease. What rights do I have? I am a single woman who needs to look out for herself and cant take the chance of being able to find a place thats affordable and in a decent area in only 30 days.

If the foreclosure is not yet filed, the house will not be foreclosed by 4/1. If you leave before 4/1, you will be breaking your lease. Period. You also must pay rent through 4/1.
I don't understand your major dilemma. You said 30 days is not enough time to find a new place. Good, you have between 30 and 60 days until the end of your lease to find a new place to move-in on 4/1.
I think you probably found a cute new place and want to move a month early. This has little or nothing to do with the pending foreclosure, from what I can tell here.
