Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I live in Florida. My daughter was recently released from prison for stealing from me. I alowed her to stay in the house until she got a job. She has been working for 6 weeks and will not leave. I have not charged her anything and she has not contributed anything to the house. She has been very mentally abusive to me and my wife and has caused problems. She refuses to leave and at times I do not feel safe in my own house. I had to put a lock on my bedroom door. She has threatened to break into the bedroom. She thinks she has a right to do whatever she wants to do in my house.How do I get her out of my house,legally.My wife and I are 60 & 67,respectfully.

You can file a domestic violence against her but without specific events involving actual physical harm the restraining order wont likely issue. You can file an ejectment action against her to remove her from the property since she is not a tenant. That is a complicated matter for which you need an attorney. You could file an eviction against her ending her lease, assuming she is a tenant, and that could proceed in county court. You could also tell her a date certain when she must leave and then change the locks on your house for which she has no right to be there. Have you agreed with probation or otherwise that she could remain in the house? If so, you have that to deal with as well. Seek the advice of a local attorney.
