Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I live in Seminole County Florida. I am renting a house and my rent is $1500, the new contract I received from our landlord says I have to pay $500 for bad check fee. Is that legal? That's 33.34% of my house rent?

Absolutely not. Ask if he meant $50.00.

They can set what they want. You have a right not to sign and not to agree. You should ask if it was a typo. Have you had a prior nag check problem ?
