Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Can a mentally ill person with lease be evicted for partial payment of rent? What if lease is changed to room for rent? How much does it cost landlord to evict someone? My mentally ill son and I share a house. His name is also on original lease. His SSI benefits were paused and Social Security asked us to get an amended lease without his name on it. The amended lease is dated earlier than the original lease with both our names on it. We were able to pay only two thirds of the rent in May. We are still waiting for Social Security adjustment and will have to pay partial rent also in June. I signed a form (of which I have the original) only for social security showing that he is simply renting a room from me. My landlady is unaware of my son's mental illness. He does make some loud noise at night but no aggression. What should my communication to landlady be in regard to all of above.? She already sent us her own three day notice, not a legal one.

You could be evicted. However, I believe if you explain your situation to the landlord that perhaps they will be less aggressive and allow you to stay.
