Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
After moving out of apartment, Ive got a letter from management about charging me the carpet replacement fee prorated ($600:5 years= 120 x 2 years= $300) for carpet damage. On the moment my moving out the carpet had a normal wear, not specifically damages by me. Is it legal to charge me for replacement the carpet and prorate it for 2 years, if my lease was only 1 year?

It depends. what did your lease state. Normal wear and tear are not valid charges to a tenant. If there were damages, and the carpet needed to be replaced, then the Landlord could charge for the damages.
