Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Noticed an eviction record on my public record search

I applied for an apartment and noticed an eviction show up on my public record. It was filed for the month of 8/05 and I have proof I paid that month before I told my landlord I would be leaving. I was not even in the apartment at the end of the month. Can I expunge it if I have proof of payment?

No. There is no way to expunge a civil record. That is only for criminal records. You can write to the credit bureau and ask for proof or you can go to the courthouse and simply look at the file. If you believe it was improperly done, then you will have to ask the court how to reopen the case.
