Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Is there any Orange County Florida law that requires pet cats to be kept inside unless they are on a leash? Is it legal for a landlord to threaten immediate eviction if such a written notice is received that states:
To: All Tenants
Fr: The Management
Re: Cats
The following is effective immediately:
Cats must be kept indoors unless they are on a leash.
Tenants in violation will have their tenancy terminated.
There will be no exceptions.
There is no mention of pet cats in any tenant's lease. Some tenants have had pet cats there for more than 10 years. What legal recourse does a tenant have that has received such a seemingly illegal threatening notice?
Thank you.

Read the ordinances under Orange County Florida "nusiance" - this would apply by law.
