Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
The Owner passed away a few months ago on a House we're renting, and the house we just learned, is listed for foreclosure. The Son of the Owner who passed away however, is trying to Short Sale on the house without previously notifying us of anything. What Rights do we have as Tenants, if our Lease doesn't expire until November of 2016?

Until a judge orders otherwise, your lease controls. A buyer would take subject to your lease.

Your lease agreement provides your rights and obligations. Nothing changes as a result of owners death or potential sale other than who you may have to pay.
