Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I've been paying a flat water bill each month to my apartment complex and some of the time I wasn't even home during the time but I paid anyway to avoid eviction. It only states on my lease that I'm responsible for water. But, why should I be responsible for water I didn't even use. They don't have a meter for each tenant. Overall I been paying over $2,000 in water. Could I challenge this in court and get my money back or at least some of It?

Your entire lease agreement controls. Have it reviewed by an attorney along with any documents which explain how the water bill will be charged.
