Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My permanent residence is in Miami, Florida; I have an apartment in Tampa, Florida where I work, Mon-Fri; now, my ex-girlfriend is claiming that she 'lives' in my apartment since she has stayed there over the past 6 months on an 'on/off' basis. Her permanent residence is in Charlotte, NC. She is threatening 'police action' if I don't allow her back in the apartment though she has no personal belongings in the apartment at this point. She has never paid rent, utilities, etc. and the only names on the lease are my mother and myself. What can I do to keep my ex from coming in the apartment?

If she has a key, get the locks changed.

I agree. change the locks. No police action can allow her to be in the place.
