Pool Heater Access

Hi, we rent from a property management company. They have put a lock on the pool control box. We cannot access the pool's heater due to this lock. We have asked them, since they did not notify us in writing or orally, to remove the lock so we can have access to the heater, to date they have not replied and it has been 5 days. We pay all utilities at the property. We were not notified by them as to why the lock is there. We rented a pool home with a heated pool, now they are denying access to said heat controls. They heater is a pump heater. Are they within their legal rights to deny access without cause or notification to the pool heat control or any aspect of this home?

Contact the landlord -- not the management company. If you are renting the home and pay all the utilities, they shuold not be able to lock you out of somethingthat you are renting (the pool pump).
