Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I'm in the process of being evicted from my apartment. I got a 3 day notice, then a 7 day notice bak in august. Last month the maintenance people cut off my a/c and locked it. Last week the maintenace people cut off my electricity. Now they're trying to tow my car. Is this legal? Isn't there supposed to be a 30 or 60 day notice?
Also, I was fired from my job at Ashberry Water in Tampa on Aug 24 2012. I have still not received my last check from them. I filed an unemployment claim against them, but they said I was insubordenate and I had to appeal. Can I sue them?

You got a 3 day notice to vacate and then a 7 day summons in August? If you did not respond then it is likely that a final judgment of eviction was entered. They may be trying to get you to move without having to expend more money by having the sheriff come out and remove you. You got your notice. Time to move.
As for the UC claim, you dont have an independent action. Pursue your UC and try to get your benefits. Show that you were not insubordinate.
