Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Question
My job is relocating me, I signed a lease and haven't moved in yet never got keys no HOA approval yet can I break the lease ?
I have to relocate for work it was a sudden job change that i had no prior notice too. No money has been paid toward the place yet and the only thing that has happened is the lease signing provided I get approved from the association which hasn't happened yet anyway and my move in date isn't until april 1st so am I able to break the lease with a letter from my company stating it's a move for work and I have no choice? The contract to lease says that upon approval of the HOA all fees will be rendered and so long as I comply and hold up my end to the promis of doing everything possible to get the approval i.e. paperwork done on time, appearances for interview than if i'm not approved I cannot be penalized...now I have up to this point complied, I am still waiting for the HOA to call and make an interview so basically I have done all I can do and now I need to get out of the prospective tenant lease. I gave an official letter from work for my relocation and now my realtor says they're going to try and get money? Nothing has even happened yet and i've complied and I have to move for work , I have no choice...what are my rights?

You have paid no money. Sounds to me you just signed an application and probably had several days to change your mind. Would have to look at the lease but I would think since you paid no money they would just be spinning their wheels for nothing.
Do not sign any lease. Advise your realtor to withdraw your offer.
