Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I recently had a couple living with me and asked them to leave because my light bill began exceeding $500, I gave them a week to retrieve their things from my home. After that week is up am I able to tell them that they can't get the rest of their belongings unless their portion of the bill is paid? (just the bill that they participated in)

you can not have your cake and eat it to. Give the people their stuff and be done with this. Next time you allow people in your home to share in the expenses, get a lease drawn up. Then if they don't pay you can take them to court.
