Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I recently moved out of an apartment after two years of living there and they are charging me for the carpet replacement of my bedroom under the condition of "stains." I think that replacement is unnecessary and that they are just charging me to replace their carpet that has been there for god knows how long before I moved in. Is there any law that supports me in arguing to drop the charges to professional cleaning?

You can challenge their assessment and will have to likely file a small claims action to get that part of security deposit back. How much is involved? You may want to decide what to do based on finances. There is an attorney fee provision in the statute if you file suit and win.
