i recently moved to a rental apartment. The leasing co replaced the carpet before moving in. the carpet installers left blood in kitchen and bathroom. leasing co gave 200 credit on next months rent for trouble. What should they have done?

That sounds fair to me. You can pay someone less than $200 to clean up the mess left by the carpet installers.
