Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I was recently served with a 30 day notice to vacate the condo i am renting because it is going to be sold. Two weeks prior to this I informed the realtor who is managing the property for the owner that the A/C keeps tripping at the breaker and could she please send someone to check it out as this could be a possible fire hazard. To date nothing has been done. Since I was served the 30 day notice to vacate (I have until January 21, 2016) can I still make demand to have the A/C fixed? I was recently treated for respiratory heart failure and it is very difficult to breathe sometimes.

You can continue to insist that the a/c be repaired. Assuming you are on a month to month lease, they have actually given you more notice than required by statute to vacate. Good luck
