Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I have recieved papers in the past month from the court saying that the house i'm renting is in foreclosure. I had to go file a paper with a copy of my lease with the court and the banks attorney. The house i'm renting is managed by a reality company which leases and maintains the property for the owner. I was advised to stop paying rent since the owner is not paying that i should not give him anymore money. Is this true or can I still be evicted?

Who advised you? If you are going through the eviction process for failure to pay rent when your landlord is going through foreclosure, you could ask the court whether you should pay the landlord, the bank, or the court registry.
