Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

i rent an apt. it needs alot of repair. i have water damage from leaks that occurred upstairs and my toilet doesn`t flush unless i dump water in it. i have work requests in for all needed repairs with the previous mamager. she left a few months ago, we have a new manager now but we have the same maint. people. my lease expired in july but they haven`t realized it. and i got laid off about the same time. if she comes and see`s this she`ll probably throw me out, and maint. isn`t going to own up to it. so i say nothing about the lease and i just pay the rent. can i just pick up and leave under these circumstances or are there leagal responsibilities i have ? i have no family or anywhere to go but i think i just want to leave.

You certainly have rights. The landlord must maintain the premises. You must pay rent. I cannot determine who is wrong from your post. It is certainly not a 'yes' or 'no' answer.
