Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I have a rental property in Florida and last night I received a call from Child Services regarding a claim sent to them about our property. We have 4 people on lease plus a child there. The claim is they have drugs in house, may be selling, and use in front of their kid.
I have been to the house multiple times and never seen any of this and have never had issues prior. They will be going over there today to investigate. Do I need to get an attorney now? Am I on the hook for anything? What will happen?
I've never been in any situation like this before and I'm nervous about what will happen as I am a DoD government employee as well.
