Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I rented a home over the internet moved from virginia to orlando fl when i arrived nothing was clean or ready the appliances are old and disgusting the yard was a mess thera was no a/c I had to move for work Ispent all my capitol on moving the owner and property manager assured me everything would be handled I have a 2 month old baby and a 4 yr old who are now staying with family for it has been 2 weeks with no a/c nothing has been done I get a diffrent exuce everyday i just want a refund so I can move to a livable place what should I do

file a small claims action and take them to court if they won't refund your money. You will of course probably be evicted in the meantime so be ready to move. Take pictures of everything and have witnesses to the condition of the place and the fact that the AC does not work and have your evidence in writing that they agreed to have all done when you got there.
