Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I rented a townhouse from my landlord in an association in Bradenton, Florida. I signed the lease for a year, and all seemed to be well. I have been in the home for about a month now, and I was told today, the landlord forgot (didn't know) there was also a Association Application and a $100 filing fee. My question is, there are 4 people who live in the townhouse, and three don't have much credit, and the 4th doesn't have very good credit. Is it possible they can evict me? I have already signed a year lease with the landlord. THANKS!

The answer depends on your contract. If the association application is not in the lease, then, if the HOA causes you to be evicted, the cost of finding a replacement rental is probably owed by the landlord you signed with.
