Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Who's responsible for obtaining liability insurance?
I have a mobile home for which I rent a lot from a private owner. We are in the process of obtaining liability insurance for this property. If I obtain renter's insurance with $300,000 liability coverage, does she also have to obtain a seperate policy to cover her in case of any injuries that happen on the property. She has inquired from numerous insurance agents, which all tell her that since she does not own the mobile home, she can't get a policy to cover just the lot. However, I had no problem finding a policy covering my contents as well as the lot. Please help!! I am at the end of my rope with my lovely landlady.

You and she have seperate liabilities. I am available to consult with either you or she about obtaining insurance.
