Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Upon his return from Iraq, my nephew leased a home off base. Approximately 7 months into the lease, he was advised, after paying his rent on the 1st of January, 2009 that he had 5 days to vacate the premises because the house was in foreclosure. He was also told that he would not getting any part of his rent or his security back "because the owners of the house were in foreclosure proceedings". A real estate agency was the agent for the home. Where can he go for help? He went to the legal office on base but they said they couldn't help him.

He would have been served with papers. Once there foreclosure goes through, and there is a sale, he loses his lease. Being "in foreclosure" does not require him to move.
