Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Roommate Agreement
I own my house and recently got a roommate to help share the bills. Even though he has no job he still manages to pay the rent. But as part of the roommate agreement he signed he is also responsible for so of the daily chores around the house and outside which he does nothing. Would it be legal to terminate our agreement??
Thanks

Re: Roommate Agreement
Is your agreement in writing? What does it say. Whether what he does not do is "big enough" to justify termination immediately depends on the facts. If you have an oral lease, then just sit down with him and figure out a convenient deadline for him to move out. No need to just kick him on the street from what you have posted.
