Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My roommate aquired a dog (pit bull) and it has aggressive tendencies. Owner of the place I rent knows he has a dog.

is there anything, I can do to either force the owner to make the roommate get rid of the dog? or what are my options with an aggressive dog that roommate has

What does your lease state about having animals. If you are not suppose to have a dog, then have the landlord enforce the lease. Otherwise, it will depend on whether you are on the lease with the roommate and whether you can break the lease or substitute someone else to release you from the lease.
