Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Roommate/Tenant
if the Landlord takes out a 2nd mortgage to pay the closing costs for his house. Is he allowed to add this into the monthly rent.
It is the landlord, his girlfriend, his cousin, and me that live in the same house.

Check your lease. You cannot raise rent unless it is provided in the contract. He can raise the rent when the lease expires, though.
