Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Security Deposit 83.49
After 30 days of vacating a rental
property, i sent a certified letter to
my previous landlord that I wanted
my security deposit in full (knowing
the FL 83.49) she left me a
Voicemail explaining that she was still
going to file an imposition against my
deposit? How do i counter act, would
her imposition be legal since Fl 83.49
code says she has forfeited her right
to impose a claim

Re: Security Deposit 83.49
She has lost the right to "impose a claim on the security deposit." She may still be able to sue, but she cannot keep your deposit and that should be returned immediately.
