Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
security deposit
I moved out of my rental months ago and the Landlord hasn't returned my deposit. I was in a hurry to move out and didn't have time to clean or take some of my things. I emailed the Landlord and he told me that he tried to send the required notice of claim but it was returned. I am going to sue because I don't think he kept my deposit in a separate account. Can I sue of this?

Re: security deposit
Not just for that. The question is what the deposit was used for. If you left the apartment a mess, you'll owe the clean-up expenses.
