Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

i would like to know if small claims court is free because i would like to sue for $200.00 in Deposit in rent. she did not want to pay it after i moved out and the date i moved out was august 1st 2009. landlord just now sent a $50 2 months late.

You need to pay a filing fee to file a complaint. You don't state what county you are in, but for example, to file your claim in Hillsborough county (Tampa) it would be $80. See the Clerk of Court website for your county to know the fee schedule.
