Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
Can I sue my apartment complex or get out of my lease?
I have lived here for two years. The ac has been breaking constantly. Yesterday, after my complaint, they put in a window ac in my bedroom instead of fixing central air. It is super loud and blows dust because it's so old. Now I can't sleep because of its rattling and if I turn it off I can't sleep because I can't close the window and can hear street noise. Because it's in the bedroom, it also doesn't really cool off the rest of the apartment. I've also asked them the fix the ceiling which leaks every time it rains, which they have not done. They have also turned off my Internet for no reason yesterday. I asked all my neighbors and their Internet works. There is no problem with my modem or router. They don't enforce any kind of noise regulations. I'm getting really sick of this place and these people and I'm just going to move out because I can't live here anymore.

Your lease agreement controls your rights and obligations. Any review of whether you can end the lease can only be determined with a thorough review of the lease. Seek legal guidance with all your paperwork.
