Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I was suppose to move in a Apartment -- never got the key -- there was a few things that happened before i moved in -- (my child support was increased) -- signed the lease -- but never moved in -- i paid the first months rent (850 plus a 100 fee to hold the place) i was wonder was in entitled to get this money back -- the apartment has been rerented to an person. State is Florida.

Your lease agreement will control this. having never gotten the keys would indicate the contract never actually began. I would discuss with an attorney. The matter of the increases in your child support is not relevant to the lease issue. How long was the apartment vacant before it was rerented? That would be a factor in any potential refund.
