Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
tampering
Me and my roommate have been on bad terms for almost the last month and I am finally moving out, but I did something and I would like to know if it was illegal. I cant remember what he said but it kinda pissed me off so I went around the living room and kitchen and rearranged his pictures like 6 or so and also rearranged the silver ware in the drawer because i knew that it would tick him off. Well now he is threatening to call the sheriffs on me for doing that and is constantly threatining me and attacking me. Can he call the sheriffs on me and is there anything I can do about his constant threats towards me?

Re: tampering
I don't know what crime was committed by "rearranging" silverware and pictures. Damaging them maybe. As far as threats, call the sheriff yourself so there is a record. They should be able to advise you on the procedure for getting a restraining order if in fact you feel he will truly follow through on any of the threats.
