Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
If a tenant gives me a check and notes on check it is for March but its really February should I cash it? Can I scratch off what they wrote?

do not alter their check. Just make a copy of it for your records. If they do not catch up with the payments, then evict them.
