Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I have a tenant in Florida who has abandoned the premises. We have the special abandoment clause in our lease. She has not paid rent this month. We posted a demand for rent letter and also sent one certified mail. She has never picked it up at the post office. I finally was able to obtain an email address and notify her. She keeps wanting more time to get her stuff. How much time do I need to give her? Do I need to get a writ of possession? The lease says I am not liable or responsible for storage? What am I legally able to do?

You will need to go through the formal eviction process.
