Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
When a tenant has no lease and does not pay for a month, what rights does the landlord have with regards to utilities that are in the landlord's name? Can any of them be shut off like hot water, heat, a/c? And is it necessary for the landlord to fix problems having to do with utilities for this person like a flipped electric breaker, pilot light out for hot water heater, broken a/c? If so is there a reasonable timeframe they must follow?
