Does a tenant in the State of Florida have the right to break a lease without being charged fees if the tenant is

A. Afraid for the safety of herself and child due to

1. Recent burglaries/robberies in the apartment complex

2. Attempted burglary to that tenants apartment while occupied

3. No security provided by the complex/landlord

Yes, but you will have to prove that the landlord knew of the unsafe conditions, and failed to provide adequate security.

Further, read you lease. If your landlord stated there would be security then you certainly have proof to break the lease. Make sure you get a copy of your police report for the recent burglary.
