What is the time limit to file a claim/lawsuit against someone in small claims court and up to what value.
I have an old renter who destroyed my residence. I just got it up and running. She told me she was very sick and has just been walking around and she has caused approximately $5000 in debt and $2,500 in Lawn service never repaid me.

On a written lease you have 5 years to pursue from the date the lease ended. on a oral lease you would have 4 years.
In small claims court the jurisdictional limit is $5000.
