Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Venue

I am a landlord with damages to my property. I am witholding final payment of the security deposit, until resolution. The tenants have hired an attorney, who has, for the tenants, denied any responsibilities and threatened to file suit for return of all monies held. The property is in one county and the attorney has stated he will file suit in another county where he has his practice. Is this permissable or does he have to file in the county where I and the tenants reside, and the breach occurred?

Venue is where the parties reside. Did you follow the L&T statute procedures regarding return of security?
