Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
If I write a check and to the left of my signature write the month and date and write "for (whatever month's) rent paid in full" and they cash it, am I covered if the company owes me for repairs they have not compensated me for?

Huh? Your legend on the check is irrelevant. It may be some evidence of what it was for at some later date. If you accompany the check with a letter or memo explaining what it is paying that may have the effect of an accord and satisfaction of any issues which may be pending. Without seeing what you are talking about it is hard to comment. As for the question, not sure how the legend and the repairs are related
