Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida
I had a one year lease at an apartment complex in Broward County, FL that was set to expire 8/1. I gave the landlord written notice on 6/29 that I would be vacating the premises and not renewing the lease. I vacated the premises on 8/1. They are now suing me for a months rent saying that I didn't give enough notice. How is that so when my lease was up?

Did your lease have an automatic renewal period? Without reading your lease it is hard to answer. Do not default in answering or you will automatically lose.

depends on what the lease stated. Was there a clause in the lease that stated 30 days notice vs. 60 days notice?
