Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida
On 10/7/15 I signed a contract agreement between a friend in which I lend him $2600 for a real estate investment for a period of 3months with a reimbursement total of $4500. Now, the contract has become expired, and the friend is giving me the run around, lying about the property is under major renovation repairs and he can not pay me yet. Please advise of my next step on how to deal with him?

Your contract agreement controls your rights and obligations. You need to have it reviewed. You may need to file suit based on the contract. it would be small claims court as it is less than $5000. if there is an attorney's fee provision there may be some incentive for an attorney to handle the case.
