Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Attorney

Dear Sirs/Madam,

I have been trying to get a divorce

since March 2007. My attorney has

never forced my almost ex to abide

by the laws deadlines.My almost

ex has never provided the total

required paperwork.My attorney

has never forced his hand to turn in

what the law requires.I know this

is a 50/50 no-fault state. Should I

complain to the bar association? I

am 50 years old and only have a

GED,and watch children in my home.

I helped him get a degree in law

enforcement,thinking until death

parts us,he has almost 30 years in

the FRS system.I have 27 years

invested in this .I don't need to

be taken advantage of and not

have what me and my minor son

are entitled to.I am not a trouble

maker,I just want what is rightfully

ours.I don't want his girlfriend to

get anything,she can have him.

Re: Attorney

Sounds like you need a new lawyer. Sit down with your current lawyer and ask the hard questions that you have and, if you are not satisfied, get a new lawyer. Do not delay.
