Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

I have a check from my insurance company for a new roof doe to IRMA storm and it is payable to myself and a roofing co that submitted the claim, The sales rep calls constantly looking for the check, but tells me he can't due the job till Jan of 2018 I feel very uncomfortable giving over these funds before the work is done or started should I see an attorney?

You have options. Yes see an attorney. Try to find a different roofer. Escrow the money with distribution per your contract with the roofer.
