Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Is company responsible

Yes, i drive for a local company (s.P. Richards) and leave my personel vehicle in the companies parking lot while i make overnight deliveries, last monday night my vehicle was broken into, nothing was taken, but it has cost me $500(deductable) for repairs, plus @$100 to rent a car for the week, my question is : is s.P. Richards responsible for my vehicle and repair cost, they say no.

Please advice

Re: Is company responsible

not likely. perhaps if the company site has no security (fense, periodic security, lighting, etcetera) AND the company knew of a history of vandalism, they might be considered to be negligent.

For the amount involved, though, it is probably not worth pursuing. suing the company may also risk you job.
