Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Does this constitute practicing law without a license?

State: Florida

I have a friend who is merely an expert with letter composition and preparation. He just has a niche for preparing personal and professionally formatted documents that achieve good results. He has helped me in the past resolve some billing account issues I had on my Chase credit card and Verizon Wireless cellular account. I was so impressed with the results, that I have been offering his assistance to other acquaintances of mine. We don't compensate him much, because he is a friend, but there is some degree of reward.

He is great at what he does and he always makes its clear he is not an attorney and can not offer legal advise or assistance of any kind. I am just wondering if his services would constitute the unlicensed practice of law. All he really does is prepare our documents asking these companies to review certain issues. He takes our words and composes them nicely on a sheet of paper. Of course, we sign our name to them. He is not listed as a preparer or representitive of any kind.

Your thoughts?

Sorry to say it but this may be an issue. He should contact the state licensing board to find out more information.
