Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

is contract valid

is it a valid joint rep and defense confidentiality agreement when a Plaintiffs' counsel is representing both the ''General Contractor'' and the ''sub contractors'' whose

rights may be at odds and the general contractor is not party to subcontractor case

yet Attorney is sharing info with general contractor and not the contractor, and the contractor does not want them sharing info with one and not the other

Re: is contract valid

Your factual scenario is difficult to understand. With full disclosure to both parties, a joint representation is fine even if there is a conflict; however, it would be difficult if not impossible to have one that allowed the attorney to disregard the instructions of one client. If you are dissatisfied, you should with draw from the agreement and retain seperate counsel.
